“West Indies Star and Pakistan Spinner Shine Bright in Latest Rankings Update”

In the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, West Indies’ Hayley Matthews has made significant progress across all three categories, consolidating her position as one of the top all-rounders in the format. Matthews, who was named Player of the Series in West Indies’ recent 4-1 victory over Pakistan, has moved up to third place in the T20I batter rankings, fifth in the bowler rankings, and maintains her lead as the top all-rounder.

Her teammate Shemaine Campbelle has also made gains in the batter rankings, climbing 16 spots to 70th, while Afy Fletcher has improved her position in the bowler rankings, rising 16 places to 25th.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal has made significant strides in the T20I bowler rankings, moving up to third place behind England’s Sophie Ecclestone, thanks to her impressive performance with seven wickets against West Indies. Fatima Sana, another Pakistani player, has climbed seven spots to 26th in the bowler rankings.

In addition, players from India and Bangladesh have seen movement in the rankings following their ongoing series in Sylhet. Shafali Verma of India has risen to 12th in the T20I batter rankings after scoring 84 runs in four innings, while Radha Yadav has improved to equal 30th in the bowler rankings after taking seven wickets at an average just above 10.

Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce has also been rewarded for her performances at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier event in Abu Dhabi, moving up 14 places to equal 25th in the batter rankings, 19 spots to equal 52nd in the bowler rankings, and breaking into the top 10 at ninth place in the all-rounder rankings following her Player of the Match performance against Ireland in the semi-finals.

These updates reflect the dynamic nature of the women’s T20I rankings, showcasing the achievements and performances of players from various teams around the world.
