On day three of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024, Ireland, UAE, Scotland, and Thailand secured victories in their respective matches.

In a standout performance, Ireland dominated Zimbabwe with a remarkable batting display, led by Amy Hunter and Gaby Lewis’ explosive opening partnership. The duo propelled Ireland to a massive total of 176/3, setting a formidable target for Zimbabwe. Despite a spirited effort from Zimbabwe’s Mary-Anne Musonda, Ireland emerged victorious by 56 runs.

Meanwhile, Kathryn Bryce’s all-round brilliance guided Scotland to a convincing 44-run win over the USA. Bryce’s outstanding performance with both bat and ball earned her the Player of the Match award as Scotland secured their second win in three matches.

Thailand delivered a clinical bowling display against Uganda, restricting them to a meager total of 62 runs. In response, Thailand chased down the target comfortably with nine wickets in hand, registering their first win of the tournament.

In another match, UAE showcased a dominant performance against the Netherlands, securing a comprehensive ten-wicket victory. UAE’s bowlers set the tone early on, restricting Netherlands to 101/9. In the run chase, Esha Oza led the charge with an unbeaten 66 off 39 balls as UAE cruised to victory in just 11.5 overs.

These victories have reshaped the standings in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024, with teams vying for a spot in the semifinals.
