“Ireland’s Busy Summer Schedule Puts T20 World Cup in the Spotlight”

Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, the Ireland Men’s team has scheduled seven home T20Is in May to boost their preparations.

They will first face Pakistan in a three-match home T20I series, followed by a tri-series involving Netherlands and Scotland.

These matches are crucial for Ireland as they gear up for the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean Islands and USA. In Group A of the tournament, they will compete against India, Pakistan, Canada, and USA.

Additionally, Ireland Men will play their maiden Test match against Zimbabwe in July, with Stormont in Belfast hosting a Test match for the first time.

Later in September-October, the team will travel to Abu Dhabi to play two T20Is and three ODIs against South Africa. These fixtures will further contribute to their preparations and provide valuable match practice.

To qualify for the main event, the Ireland women’s team will need to finish among the top two in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024. These home fixtures will provide them with valuable opportunities to fine-tune their skills and strategies before the main tournament.
