“Bangladesh Coaching Setup Welcomes Experienced Additions”

David Hemp has been appointed as the batting coach for the Bangladesh Men’s national cricket team, while Andre Adams joins as the team’s bowling coach. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced these appointments, signing both Hemp and Adams on a two-year contract.

Hemp, who previously served as the High Performance Head Coach since May 2023, brings valuable experience to his new role. He had previously worked as Bangladesh’s batting coach during their tour of New Zealand last year. With a successful career as an international player for Bermuda and a prolific record in first-class cricket, Hemp is well-equipped to guide Bangladesh’s batters.

Having obtained an ECB Level 4 Coaching Certification, Hemp has held coaching positions with various teams, including the Pakistan Women’s National Team, Victoria State Women’s Team, and the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League.

On the other hand, Adams, a former New Zealand all-rounder, has been appointed as the team’s bowling coach. Adams previously served as the bowling coach for the White Ferns and had coaching stints with the New Zealand men’s team and Australia’s Assistant Coach. He also served as the head bowling coach of New South Wales Blues in the Australian Sheffield Shield.

Both Hemp and Adams will commence their roles with the Bangladesh Men’s team in the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka in March 2024.
